Physical therapists hold bachelors' or advanced degrees from university programs. We are skilled professionals whose education includes the study of human growth and development with specific emphasis on the social, emotional and physiological effects of illness and injury.
The success of therapy is greatly enhanced by therapists who are exceptionally trained and strongly committed to serving people. Our therapists excel in both areas.
- Our physical therapists are certified and/or licensed and have additional training in pediatrics, or sport injury rehab, or work related rehab.
- All therapists attend additional training courses each year to further expand their skills and knowledge.
- Our therapists stay current with the latest research related to pediatric PT and use that knowledge to guide patient treatments.
- Additionally, our therapists share a heartfelt love of children and a desire to make a positive difference in their lives.
Physical therapists use proven intervention to reduce pain and restore normal function in individuals dealing with injury, disability, or disease.
Physical therapists first examine and evaluate your specific condition. The therapist will then recommend and apply appropriate treatments that may consist of a combination of exercise, hands on techniques performed by the therapist, and possibly anti-inflammatory agents. The therapist will also spend time educating you about the specific condition. The therapist will teach you how to self-manage the condition through a home exercise program and activity modification.
The goal of physical therapy is to decrease pain,
and improve function.
